How does two-factor authentication work?

Your organization’s data is valuable. It is therefore essential to protect it. Two-factor authentication provides an additional layer of security for your account.

The platform accepts the authentication via an OTP code (one-time password) generated automatically by an application of your choosing on your device (ex.: Google authenticator or Free OTP).

How to activate two-factor authentication

  • Open Your profile > Security 
  • Click on Activate in the Two-factor authentication section.

The platform provides a QR code for you to scan using the selected OTP application on your telephone. If you use a computer-based application (such as Bitwarden), you may also initiate the connection by copying the code shown next to the QR code. 

Once your OTP application is connected, it will provide you with a temporary code that you must enter manually on the platform to validate activation of two-factor authentication. 

It is necessary to generate an OTP code using the application to deactivate two-factor authentication. Be careful not to delete information from your application.
