As a data provider, you can define a retention limit date for each file added in your data offerings. This allows you, for example, to manage cases where your data is subject to regulations requiring the deletion of files after a set period of time.
Defining the file retention limit date
In the "Compliance" step of the data offer submission process, you can define a retention limit date for each of the files in your data offering.
Once the limit date has passed, the file is completely deleted from the platform:
- It is no longer available in the data offering, and can no longer be acquired,
- It can no longer be downloaded by participants who have acquired the data offering.
Automatic data retention limit
In the case of a subscription-based data offering where your files are automatically added to the offering via a cloud connector, you have the option of defining an automatic data retention limit. By specifying a lifetime duration for accessing data, the expiry date of each file will be automatically calculated as soon as it is uploaded to the offering, taking into account the defined period and the file upload date.
